If you can admit that there is a Higher Being that created this whole universe then you also have to admit that he created you and He created you for a purpose. Also, by the glory and beauty of the nature and sky and space we can see all the intelligent systems and animals and creation. If we admit this truth then we also have to admit to the goodness of God. We have to see the goodness of God.
The next part is our responsibility and accountability to God. This is the real reason why people do not *want* to believe in God. This is also the same reason reason why some have even said that that have not even thought as far as what happens after they die. This is the same reason why they do not believe in a God. Because it would place them in a place of responsibility and accountability to God and man, by his own prideful and sinful nature, will not accept and submit to God. That is what Romans chapter 1 says in the Holy Bible.
“The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth through unrighteousness. For what may be known about God is clear to them since God has shown it to them. The invisible things about Him—His eternal power and deity—have been clearly seen since the creation of the world and are understood by the things that are made, so that they are without excuse. Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him or give thanks to Him as God, but became futile in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools. They changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, birds, four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves. They turned the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged the natural function for what is against nature. Likewise the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men doing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not proper. They were filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, proud, boastful, inventors of evil things, and disobedient toward parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, calloused, and unmerciful, who know the righteous requirement of God, that those who commit such things are worthy of death. They not only do them, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”
Romans 1:18-32 MEV
No one said it better than the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, who alone is God in the flesh.
“He who believes in Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the verdict, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that it may be revealed that his deeds have been done in God.””
John 3:18-21 MEV
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” We have all received from His fullness grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.”
John 1:1, 3-5, 14-18 MEV
The point is that men love darkness. They chose wickedness. All were tempted and sinned.
“As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;”
Romans 3:10 MEV
“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:23 MEV
We are justified by God
“being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
Romans 3:24 MEV
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 MEV
Believe in Jesus and be saved
““For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 MEV
